Tips on how to protect your vehicle Keep your vehicle in a garage if possible or out of sight. When parked on a drive, consider motion activated lighting and CCTV. Forensic security marking kits are available for parts on your vehicle. Consider fitting a tracker system. Consider fitting a hidden battery isolation or a fuel cut-off switch. Use hi-vis signage to deter thieves. Be aware of people acting suspiciously nearby. Fit vehicle security equipment within your vehicle. Etch headlamps and seek advice on headlamps being connected to a bonnet alarm. Take photographs of unusual features, modifications, damage or repairs which could aid identification if stolen.
